Here at BKT Trucking, we take care of our own. As a company we strive to provide the best possible opportunities and outcomes for everyone we interact with. Whether that be our clients, drivers, mechanics or office staff, we want everyone to succeed. We understand how essential each part of the operation is individually but also realize how each position must flow cohesively with one another to form a fully efficient unit.

History

BKT Trucking was built on the shoulders of father/son duo, Bill and Sam Teerling. Bill has been on the frontlines of the trucking industry since 1989. Sam used to love riding shotgun. After years and years of seeing countless drivers be taken advantage of, Bill had the dream to open his own trucking company that would take care of the individuals who keep the business moving. Sam, who was running his own garage at the time, gave Bill the courage and support to turn his dream into a reality. Today, they stand side by side while shaping and developing BKT Trucking.

Management

Bill takes the lead with sales and dispatch. He uses his knowledge and experience from the last 30 years to capture the best value for all parties involved. He has a close relationship with all of our drivers and has even worked alongside many of them. This connection allows for smooth communication between the drivers and other departments. Our dispatch team is made up of ex-drivers who know the territory as well as the lifestyle and perspective of the very drivers they are assigning shipments too.

Sam oversees the overall growth and development of BKT to better serve ourselves and our customers. Our day-to-day operations are based to better accommodate our customers and drivers. Sam manages our overall safety, compliance and all other trucking needs to insure every department is exceeding on all levels. He also manages our in-house maintenance department which ensures our trucks are in peak performance condition.

Repair Facility

With having an in house repair facility, our main goal is to keep all of our operators in the trucks of their liking that are reliable, safe and enjoyable. Our repair team understands the importance of their role in meeting the BKT standard for on time, compliant, and effective repairs and maintenance of all equipment.

Our Trucks

We build nice work trucks. Whether it be something like a new 597 or t690, or something older, like a long nose Peterbilt, Kenworth, or BKT's favorite: Western Star. We aim for everyone to have safe, reliable trucks. And most importantly, when you walk back to the pump at the end of a long day, we want your truck to put a smile on your face.
